Anzan Omamori

Last week, I was super surprised and touched when Teena gave me this little gift at lunch:

I love the colors, too!

It's an omamori, which is a good luck charm, and this one is an Anzan omamori which is specifically for pregnant women, wishing them a healthy pregnancy and an easy childbirth! I have always had an omamori for my car (apparently called Kōtsū Anzen) since my aunt and uncle would bring them back from Japan for us whenever they would go, but I had no idea they had so many types of charms until I looked up what this one was called! [I'd like to thank Teena's mom, as well, for mentioning to her that I should have one of these! =) I'm sure my mom is thrilled that someone thought to give me one!]

I'll be sure to carry this around with me in my purse and in my overnight bag when I go into labor! Thanks, Teena!!
