Overdraft Protection
I totally forgot that I had purchased some long-sleeve pajamas for our upcoming trip to CA on my debit card and accidentally went under my balance this week. Whoopsie! Luckily, my (free) overdraft protection kicked in, and I'm thankful for that. I never do this!! Maybe it's pregnancy brain, hehe.
Morla Babysitters
I'm so thankful for Heidi and Melanie, my go-to tortoise babysitters for whenever we need them! While our vet's office boards our ferrets, no one really boards tortoises. It's not hard to understand why -- many tortoises are solitary animals that get aggressive when around other tortoises, they require quite a bit of space (or at least a large-ish heated area in the winter), and of course, they can be huge! And living in the boonies, I always feel bad having to ask people to come over and feed her because it's not like I can just take her to them while we're gone. So it's wonderful that my friend Heidi, who lives about a mile away, not only helps out, but she seems to adore Morla! And whenever she can't watch her, my next door neighbor (and her boys) is always very willing to help. Without them, I'm not sure what we'd do about Morla when we're gone, so thank you both!!
A New Mouse
On Tuesday, my wireless mouse at work started acting crazy. The left mouse button was hit or miss at responding, the movement of the cursor was sometimes delayed (but not always) so that I'd move the mouse and click and it would sometimes click the wrong thing, and other times, one click would result in a double-click. I had just changed the battery about 2 weeks ago, too! So I picked up this cute one at Target for $20. It's a great size for my hand (that's what she said) and has a teeny wireless sensor instead of the behemoth that came with my old mouse! Ahh, to be able to click on links and windows with confidence again!
